New page

[[Category:URI]]
One of the great features of the URI, is that it allows you to
connect an ATMEL AT93C46E-PU (Digikey Part Number AT93C46E-PU-ND)
or equiv. to the URI via the interface connector, thereby allowing
the USBRadio channel driver's working parameters for that radio
in the connector going to the radio (in other words, if you change
URI's or USB positions, the radio parameters stay with the radio and
wont require re-calibration).

To accomplish this, pins 1 thru 4 of the the 8 pin DIP EEProm are soldered
directly to pins 15 thru 18 (1 to 15, 2 to 16, 3 to 17, 4 to 18) of the
25 pin D-shell connector. Pin 14 is wired to pin 8 (Vcc) and pin 19 is
wired to pin 5 (Gnd) of the EEProm. Pins 6 and 7 of the EEProm are not
used and may be removed.

Be sure to set eeprom=1 in the stanza for the USB channel in then
/etc/asterisk/usbradio.conf configuration file.
