Test Loopback Connector
The following information is used to create a URI Test (Loopback) connector.
Parts
- 25 pin male D-shell connector
- ATMEL AT93C46E-PU (Digikey Part Number AT93C46E-PU-ND) or equivalent for the EEPROM.
| Connection | Notes (as applicable) |
|---|---|
| Pin 1 -> Pin 7 | |
| Pin 2 -> Pin 3 | |
| Pin 4 -> Pin 8 | |
| Pin 14 -> EEPROM Pin 8 | |
| Pin 15 -> EEPROM Pin 1 | |
| Pin 16 -> EEPROM Pin 2 | |
| Pin 17 -> EEPROM Pin 3 | |
| Pin 18 -> EEPROM Pin 4 | |
| Pin 19 -> EEPROM Pin 5 |
- Add the following resistors:
| Connection | Notes (as applicable) |
|---|---|
| 10K Resistor between Pins 21 & 22 | |
| 10K Resistor between Pins 21 & 23 |
- For URIx P/N 9095 that uses the CM119A also include the following:
| Connection | Notes (as applicable) |
|---|---|
| Pin 5 -> Pin 10 | Do *NOT* include for the older URI P/N 9080 that uses the CM108 |
| Pin 6 -> Pin 11 | Do *NOT* include for the older URI P/N 9080 that uses the CM108 |
Assembly
- Pins 1 thru 4 of the the 8 pin DIP EEPROM are soldered directly to pins 15 thru 18 (1 to 15, 2 to 16, 3 to 17, 4 to 18) of the 25 pin D-shell connector.
- Pin 14 is wired to pin 8 (Vcc) and pin 19 is wired to pin 5 (Gnd) of the EEPROM.
- Pins 6 and 7 of the EEPROM are not used and may be removed.
