The most important thing when setting your levels is that ALL the RX and TX levels match from radio to radio. The best way this is achieved is using a "master" radio and reference from that - all radios might be identical models, but may not have identical audio characteristics so check those levels! Also check CTCSS and audio levels separately to make sure they all match.
